BRIEF: Concept Task Week 1 (From Mark's Class):

Creativity

Brief:

With the two words you have been provided you are to develop a concept for a work. The theme

title must remain, however you determine what it means and hence the concept of the work. You

will present the concept for critique and analysis at the tutorial.

Deliverables:

1. An A4 typed document presenting:

• Dictionary definitions (of the two words)

• Brainstorm session (photocopied from sketchbook) showing your progress and conceptual

development (keywords, mindmaps & early ideas etc.).

• Written description defining the subject matter the work will explore. What it is about – the theme

(not what the product is), 200 words minimum. Your own words NOT copied.

• Two relevant website URLs (relevant to your concept)

2. A library book relevant to the concept that you have defined.

Assessment Criteria:

• Originality, maturity of idea and legibility of description

• Quality and evidence of endeavour in brainstorming evidence

• Suitability of book, awareness of its content and ability to discuss idea

• Quality of the presented work

Learning Outcomes Covered:

audio/visual time-based media, and interactive media.
